Short Bio

Harpist Juan Riveros is a current student of Yolanda Kondonassis at the Cleveland Institute of Music, pursuing an undergraduate degree in Harp Performance and Music Theory. Accolades include a YoungArts Merit Award in Classical Music/Harp, Honorable Mention at the 2019 Lyon and Healy Awards, Third Place in the Young Professional Division of the 2019 American Harp Society National Competition, Competition Participant in the 2019 USA International Harp Competition, Grand Prize Winner of the 2020 Lewisville Lake International Concerto Competition, a Winner of the 2020 Anne Adams Awards Competition, and the Texas Young Master Award. Juan holds a HS diploma from the Interlochen Arts Academy, where he studied under the instruction of Joan Raeburn Holland. His orchestral experience includes performances with the Interlochen Arts Academy Orchestra and Band, the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America, the Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra, the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra, and the Round Top Festival Orchestra. Previous instructors also include Alison Read and Sylvia Norris.

Juan was named a Winner of an Anne Adams Award, following the 2020 competition held by the American Harp Society Foundation.

Juan was recently named the First Prize Winner of the Lewisville Lake Symphony International Concerto Competition, and will be returning to Dallas in November to perform Debussy's Danses Sacrée et Profane and Ravel's Introduction et Allegro.
